Two Villages has been created to effect change in impoverished areas of the world through community ownership and cooperation. With the assistance and linkages of international organizations, we will identify projects within a specific district or village. Funding will be directed through the international agency directly to the project. All of the donated funding for each project will go directly to that project. Two villages, ours and theirs, will be linked by generosity.
Two Villages was founded in Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, in 2005 by Troy Mitchell and Krista Percy. Their common interest in addressing international concerns led to the development of a community-based approach. They seek to engage communities from the developed world to support third world communities. This unique relationship recognizes the commonalities among all people, builds local community spirit and supports the capacity of recipient communities.
