Have you wondered about doing “something”?

Each year schools and their young leaders help change entire communities throughout the world. At Two Villages we provide projects and create linkages. The life and excitement of each project lies in the hands of global citizens who have decided that they can and will do “something.” Two Villages, two vastly different parts of the world, have truly been linked by generosity.

This year Two Villages introduces its fifth project in association with USC Canada. The project will support rural communities in Timor Leste. Schools from throughout Newfoundland and Labrador and as far away as Bermuda will participate in Rice Day on November 18, 2009.

So, how do you get involved? It’s actually quite simply: (1) as a young leader organize Rice Day at your school, pull together supporters and engage your school’s staff; (2) as a teacher find students who have the interest and ability to move a project along; (3) as a parent or community member find opportunities to engage local schools in international development – support Rice Day.
