Together we are going to support our global neighbours. By organizing/participating in a Rice Day event you will help make a difference for rural farmers in Timor Leste. In the past few years we have met so many amazing young leaders who have pulled together their own school events and have asked "what's next?"

Let's try something outside the box. Consider the Near and Far Challenge. Find a school or group somewhere in your neck of the woods. Challenge them to match your efforts or simple to hold their own Rice Day. Now choose another school or group - anywhere. Invite them to join this global citizenship journey.

Here's what you do:

• Plan your own Rice Day.
• Choose another school/group nearby - possibly one that you link with or plays sports against. Write, e-mail or call and challenge them to plan their own event.
• Scan the country or beyond, make contact and tell them of your efforts. Be an ambassador for the cause and challenge them to plan their own event.
